Milena Markovna Kunis was the child of an Ukrainian Jewish family. She was born on 14 August on the 14th of August, 1983 in Chernivtsi (now Ukraine) to a Ukrainian Jewish mother and father. Mark Kunis, her mechanical engineer father, works as taxi driver. Kunis has an older brother, Michael. Her parents survived the Holocaust. Russian is her mother language.
