Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. She began her career with television and film productions like
"Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she
worked on projects such as Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared in TV shows
such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman
(2000). Her most memorable TV performance was as "Christine Sullivan"
in Night Court (1984). She appeared in the show's 156 episodes between 1984 and
1992. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and noted nuclear physicist
Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7 2015). Two daughters, Katie
Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 90) were born during
her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. Born in Palo Alto, California, and grew
up in Walnut Creek, California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School,
Walnut Creek, California. The Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis &
Clark College in Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping at The Wildest
West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her remains were returned
to Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post died three months
following her 71st Birthday, August 7 2021. She was just 27 days from Charles
Robinson, Night Court (1984), her co-star who passed away on July 11 the 11th
of July, 2020. While the two shows were not related, Night Court (1984) was the
final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington
DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new
character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later moved into a smaller town
following her work in Washington DC.
