Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Alison and James Nichols, a schoolteacher. She is of French Canadian and English descent. She attended and graduated from Cony High School in Augusta when she competed in the high jump. She was a student at Columbia University in New York City, where she eventually graduated with a double major in math and economics. She began modeling and launched a successful modeling career, working for prestigious companies such as Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch or L'Oreal. Rachel was able to move into acting, snagging a role on the HBO situation comedy Sex and the City (1998) at her very first audition. In the prequel Dumb and Dumberer, When Harry met Lloyd (2003) the actress made her film debut as Jessica Matthews. Success continued with roles in such projects like The Amityville Horror (2005), The Inside (2005), Alias (2001), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2008), Criminal Minds (2006) (a frequent part as the FBI Agent Ashley Seaver role) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). She played the main role of police officer Kiera Cameron in the science fiction drama Continuum (2012).Attended and graduated from Columbia University with a double major in math and economics.
