Thora Birch

Thora Birch was born March 11 on 1982. She is an American actress, producer and director. Her film debut was in Purple People Eater (1988) which earned her the Young Artist Award for "Best Young Actress Under Nine Years of Age". Birch became a star as an infant with films such as All I Want for Christmas (1991), Patriot Games (92), Hocus Pocus (93), Monkey Trouble (1994), Now and Then (1995) and Alaska (1996). In 1999 she was nominated for a BAFTA nomination. In 2001, she was nominated for Best Actress for Ghost World. Birch was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003 for her performance as the title character in Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. Birch has also been a part of Dungeons & Dragons (2000) (2001), The Hole (2004), Silver City (2004), Dark Corners (2006) and Winter of Frozen Dreams (2009). Birch played the role of Whisperer Mary/Gamma in season 10 of The Walking Dead (2019-202). Birch, Jack Birch's eldest son, was born in Los Angeles. Birch her family's initial surname was Biersch and is German-Jewish, Scandinavian, French-Canadian and Italian descent. [6] Thora is her birth name. It comes from the Norse god Thor who is the god of thunder and lightning. If it were a boy, this would have been her full name. Kian Bolt Birch who is her younger brother, is her mother. Both are former adult film actors, and were both actors in Deep Throat. Due to their experience in the entertainment industry, they were hesitant to support the actress, but were convinced by Thora's picture to agents through a babysitter who observed her imitating commercials. Birch received her first major break at four, when the babysitter accompanied her to a successful audition for the Quaker Oats commercial.
