Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

 Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 1975) is an American actress. Her most well-known work includes her starring roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). The actress has also been recognized for her leading role in the role of Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On the television screen, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the first season of the crime drama show True Detective (2014), where she earned nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the character of Sarah Lane. Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. Bob as well as John are her elder brothers. Monaghan, who is mostly of Irish and German heritage was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree at Columbia College Chicago and began to model. She modeled in Milan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States. In 1999, she only had only one semester remaining to finish her degree in journalism. She moved to New York to pursue an acting career. Before becoming an actor she was model and was featured in a variety of catalogs and magazines. Monaghan's first TV appearances, both in a supporting role she played Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. She also performed in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent" which was an episode that was broadcast on January 19 2001. She made her first big-screen appearance the following year with Perfume in the role of Henrietta. She was also a support actress in Unfaithful in 2002, which starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and others.
