Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. She is best known for her role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was given the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She was also on the NBC show Whitney (2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother was executive secretary of the United States Navy, her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and moved around a lot during her childhood. Following the footsteps of her father and grandmother, she studied drawing, painting and architectural design from an early age. As she continued to pursue her love of the art of the visual, she found an interest in acting. She was also introduced to modern theater during her time in college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn began her career in college as an actor, and was guided by her acting instructor. She worked many ancillary positions within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to make her stand out. Although she eventually managed to land major roles in local productions of theater and had to do odd jobs to stay afloat however, she continued working in the film industry as an educational filmmaker. Then she was part of more television productions. It was common for her to be compared to Bea Arthur, who she described as "very funny," "sarcastic, and well-educated" women. However, most of the roles she played were part-time shows that were cancelled after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
